KZN Resins (Pty) Ltd was established in 1998 as a fully integrated resin manufacturing company. Initially focused on producing unsaturated polyester resin, we expanded our product range to include Alkyd resins within a year. By 2000, we further diversified our offerings by incorporating Hydroxy functional Acrylic resins. Presently, we proudly manufacture and distribute a comprehensive range of unsaturated polyester resin and gelcoats for the composites industry, Alkyd resins for the coatings industry, and Hydroxy acrylic resins catering to the automotive market.

MANUFACTURING EXPERTISE
The Prospecton manufacturing site of KZN Resins (Pty) Ltd possesses an extensive reactor capacity of 80m3 dedicated to the production of resins. This substantial capacity enables us to achieve a potential weekly resin output of 400 tons, approximately amounting to 1600 tons per month.

KZN Resin’s success lies in our ability to produce a variety of resin types catering for diverse markets as well as a wide range of applications. At our head office and manufacturing site in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal we have a modern and versatile manufacturing plant capable of simultaneously producing unsaturated Polyesters, Alkyds and Acrylics resins. With our current annual plant capacity of 10 000 TPA we are able to easily service our local and export markets including Sub Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.
Our polyester resins product range expands over a wide variety of applications. In addition to this we have the technical know-how to tailor make products to suit almost any application. The coatings sector includes a large and competitive market of paint manufacturers who make primers and top coats for industrial, decorative, wood, automotive, flooring, plastic, can, coil, metal and construction. We are behind many successful paint brands. Supplying such a diverse market is both exciting and challenging and requires ongoing customer care and development.
